Student Council

Spring Lake Elementary's first term student council did an amazing job! We'd like to thank them for all their help with spirit days and the PTA, the annual food drive, making and donating blankets, visiting the Veteran's home, recycling, doing announcements in the morning, and being role models for the school.

Outstanding Employee

Submitted by doug.lai on

On December 3rd, 2014 Loura Martin was recognized by staff as the outstanding employee of the year. Loura is the school’s attendance secretary and does so much to help the students and faculty. She always has a smile and treats everyone with kindness. She often steps in to help in classrooms while teachers need to take a call, or other business. Loura was a huge help when she took over for several months when Mrs. Dockstader was taken ill do to a fall. She took over the office duties, and helped close out the school year. Not sure what we do without her.

Christmas Singing

Submitted by doug.lai on

Spring Lake Students have been getting together to sing Christmas Carols. Everyone loves singing Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer, and other songs. The highlight each year though is the montage of the teachers missing their two front teeth! Tradition is kept by singing Silent Night as the final song, which is Mr. Sainsbury’s favorite, and continuing to sing the song as we return to class.

A Christmas Carol

Submitted by doug.lai on

Mr. Ewell has carried on his Christmas Carol tradition, this year with his fourth-grade students. They opened the doors of the little theatre to upper grades to come and watch, as well as put on a performance for parents. Ebenezer Scrooge was played by Jake Wilson. The students did an amazing job.
