Ms. Grover's class loves when she reads to them.
#MysterySkype is an educational game, invented by teachers, played by two classrooms on Skype. The aim of the game is to guess the location of the other classroom by asking each other questions. We worked on some geography skills, and critical thinking skills as we Skyped with Mrs. Evans a former teacher at Spring Lake. The class took turns answering questions. They were able to guess in 17 questions that she is now in Columbus, Georgia.
The Book Fair is...
Wednesday, September 23rd, 2:00pm-7:00 p.m.
Thursday, September 24th, 8:30-10:00 a.m. & 2:30-8:30 p.m.

We start out the beginning of the year really working on team work and cooperation. One of the best ways, Mr. Atkin's fourth -grade class does this is through a faith hike. They go up on the mountain behind the school and become a guide. A guides job, is to help their partners, through communication and caring, to get past all the obstacles put there by mother nature. One student is blindfolded and the guide student, helps the blind along the trail. At the half way point they switch rolls. We talk about trust, communication, and caring.
