Our very own sixth-grade orchestra performed under the direction of Mrs. Emily Fringer for upper-grades. It is amazing to see how far students have come in just a few months. Thanks for all our hard work.
Spring Lake Elementary students had the privilege of hearing from some great singers. Many of whom are former students or older siblings. What a great way to get it to the holiday spirit.
Mr. Craig Hardy and his son Skyler visited our school and gave us best social studies lesson we've ever had. Mr Hardy, playing the part of Mr. Benjamin Franklin and Skyler, acting the part of a Minuteman fascinated our students as well as the teachers with information regarding Mr. Benjamin Franklin and the life of the Minuteman during the Revolutionary War period. Dressed as the characters they portrayed, they showed us equipment, weaponry and everyday items from that era.
Christmas would not be complete without our annual Christmas play put on by sixth-grade. Dancing, singing, and great actors. A huge thanks to Mrs. Anderson and Davies who come back each year to help out with the music. This year's show was definitely one not to miss. Thanks for all your hard work sixth-grade.
Chantilly Lace singing group came and shared Christmas songs on Tuesday, December 15th. A couple of them have grandchildren who attend the school. Mr. Ewell even participated by playing the part of Father Christmas. What an enjoyable assembly.
Spring Lake's student council has been busy tying 20 blankets to donate to the Veteran's home in Payson. Ady Stokes' grandmother in California donated all of the material! At the Veteran's home, the students loved visiting with the Veterans and seeing all the gift bags, that would soon be filled with their blanket donation.
Wednesday the 16th second-grade celebrated Grinch Day. If there was a look-alike contest, this one would win for sure. He even had a pet dog with a horn tied on, just like The Grinch.
So you want to be an Elf. Where would you want to work, and what qualifications do you have. Santa may be hiring a few of our first-grade students.
What would you do if Santa got stuck in our chimney, first-grade students had some cute ideas.
