100th Day of Kindergarten
I wish I had 100 cookies,
I wish I had 100 kittens,
I wish I had 100 dollars,
But I would never want 100 homework assignments!
What do you do to celebrate the 100th day of kindergarten? Eat 100 treats of course!

Our KINDNESS tunnel was a success!!! We put some smiles on our kids' faces this morning! Thanks to all who helped make this Tuesday a little brighter!
Hero was in the lunchroom. Our three winners this week we Cassidy Richins, Ryker Newton, and Hanks Smith. Make sure to like Spring Lake on Facebook so you can see where Hero is each week.
Thanks to a generous donation from US Synthetic, the 6th graders at Spring Lake Elementary had a rip-roaring time exploring and discovering all things science, technology, engineering, and math Thursday at the South Towne Expo Center.
Spring Lake Kindergarteners had their Teddy Bear Picnic. They did bear math, measuring and weighing their bears. They also had a "bear" snack while watching the Polar Bear Cam at the San Diego Zoo. Kindergartners learned songs and read stories all about bears. What a fun filled day of learning and fun!
Tayla Mendenhall and Grady Grimshaw both won awards at the District Level reflections. Way to go representing Spring Lake Elementary.
On January 26 sixth grade students were able to participate in the Medieval Festival at Spring Lake Elementary. Parents volunteered to teach students about several topics relating to the middle ages including: castles, jousting, clothing, home life, food, people, weapons, etc. The students loved the opportunity to learn about these topics in a fun and engaging environment. Special thanks to all the parents who spent the afternoon with us!
Preschool had fun learning about groundhogs. Check out the pictures they made.
Congrats to Remington Hunsaker. He was the only one who correctly guessed where Hero was. The Little Theater was the correct answer. Don't forget to check out our Facebook page to see where he is each week, and submit your guess.
