Teacher Of The Year

Submitted by doug.lai on

Every two years faculty has the opportunity to recognize one of their own as teacher of the year. This year they recognized Marie Garner. Marie has been a great asset to our second-grade team. This is a well deserved recognition. Mrs. Garner will be recognized by Nebo School Board along with a representative from each of the Elementary schools. In addition she will be in a drawing for a trip to Disneyland. We're crossing our fingers for you.

Renaissance Drawings

After writing an essay about an assigned Renaissance man or woman, Mrs. Fordiani's sixth-grade student drew some impressive sketches using art pencils, erasers, and charcoal donated to the class through Donorschoose.

State Capitol Field Trip

Submitted by doug.lai on

The fifth-grade classes at Spring Lake Elementary recently enjoyed a fantastic field trip to the State Capitol in Salt Lake City on February 19, 2016. The students were able to view the beautifully renovated capitol building and were awed by its architecture and grandeur. They enjoyed learning about the vital work that goes on at the Capitol for our state’s citizens. While there, students had an opportunity to see the state legislature in action by observing in both the senate and house galleries. Students were recognized on the floor for being in attendance by Representative Marc Roberts.
