Birds In Trees
Students learned how to make Birch trees, using paint and then different paper was available for them to design a bird and place them on their trees. A snowy background finished their picture. Great job!

Mrs. Fordiani's sixth-grade class enjoyed building castles as part of their medieval unit. The castles needed to have a moat, drawbridge, curtain walls, arrow loops, a bailey, battlements, towers, and a keep just to name a few. They had so much fun!
Spring Lake Hawks,
I just wanted to let you all know that last night I was appointed the Coordinator of Operations for Nebo School District effective on July 1st.
I have loved my two years at Spring Lake and getting to know your students. I have appreciated the trust and support you have all shown to me.
I give you my promise to give everything I have to Spring Lake in my last few months.
Thanks,
Mr. Daybell

Dear Spring Lake Parents and PTA Members
We are excited for the upcoming Teacher Appreciation/Kindness Week that is scheduled for Tuesday, February 21 – Friday, February 24. This week is a fun way as parents and PTA members that we can let the teachers and staff of Spring Lake Elementary know how much we appreciate all that they do to go above and beyond to teach, inspire, protect, and love our kids.
Roasting marshmallows and making Smores while teaching heat transfer through radiation… Why not?!? The sixth-grade students at Spring Lake elementary enjoyed learning about heat while having fun.
The sixth-grade had the opportunity of participating in a Medieval
Festival on Wednesday, January 25. Parents volunteered to teach about
eight different important topics pertaining to the Middle Ages. Some
included: weaponry, jousting, food, castles, candle making, etc.
Students attended all eight classes in rotations, and it was a great
learning experience for all! Thank you to all the parents who helped
with this fun learning experience at Spring Lake!
The 6th grade students created some amazing instruments for their sound monthly project this month. We had guitars, a xylophone, an African harp, a trumpet, a saxophone, and drums to name a few.
Today at our Teddy Bear picnic we measured and weighed our teddy bears!
