Reading is Magic

Submitted by doug.lai on

Magician Mike Hamilton talked to students about the importance of reading. He struggled as a child to read, but fell in love with magic books, which led him to where he is today.

Many students got to help participate with him in the magic show. Teachers also took part, and were left speechless, as to how the tricks was done.

Students repeated over and over that they should read for 20 minutes each night. By doing that, not only will they get better at reading, but they can learn to do anything they want.

Our fifth-grade students have been learning coding from students at Payson High School. As part of the partnership Spring Lake received another Chromebook cart. What a neat experience for our students. Some may have just found a new career.
