Greek Vases

Submitted by doug.lai on

It's all Greek to me! Mrs. Fordiani's class designed authentic looking Greek vases. They used oil pastels as the base layer and paint on top. Before the paint dried, the students use the back of the paint brush to scratch out their designs.

Westing Game

Submitted by doug.lai on

Students and Mrs. Fordiani's sixth-grade class enjoyed making projects after reading the book The Westing Game. Three groups made iMovie trailers and two groups re-created either Sunset Towers or the Westing House. They were all super creative and fun to see.

Within Reach PTA Reflections

Submitted by doug.lai on

Students learned about the PTA Reflections theme "Within Reach". Spring Lake has a long tradition of lots of entries. We can't wait to see what students will come up with. They can do dance, short film, poem or story, song, photography or drawing, or 3-D art. All participants will receive a prize for each entry. There will be a Gallery Night and Awards Assemby as well. Have fun and be creative.

Boot Camp Plan B

Submitted by doug.lai on

Unfortunately, Fifth-grade Boot Camp got rained out today. Thanks to all the parents that came to help out, and who donated supplies. We will reschedule real soon. Mrs. Jordan had them come down at the end of the day for a snack and to play "Just Dance" on the big screen in the gym.
