Fortnite Brain Dance

Submitted by doug.lai on

Fifth-grade teachers put a twist on the brain dance by using different dances from Fortnite. Students had a lot of fun and were definetly exhausted afterwards.

Winter Wonderland...of BOOKS!

Submitted by teresa.jordan on

Thank you to everyone who supported our Scholastic Buy One Get One Free Bookfair last week!  Many students went home with great new titles to read and many teachers recevied book donations for their classrooms.  Students enjoyed entering the "Winter Wonderland" of books and guessing how many snowflakes adorned the walls and halls.  We appreciate all the efforts of our PTA to make our book fairs the best!

Our Friendly Yeti

Submitted by teresa.jordan on

A friendly Yeti has come to visit the lunchroom at Spring Lake.  He watches over everything and chooses the grade level who does the best job keeping the lunchroom clean each day.  Students have been doing such a great job keeping things clean, we hope he is here to stay for a very long time!

White Ribbon Week Activities

Submitted by teresa.jordan on

White Ribbon Week was a HUGE success!  Many thanks to the PTA and the athletic teams from Payson High School who helped teach and reinforce concepts that will keep students safe online.  From dress up days to lunch time activities to a school wide Media Detective scavenger hunt, students really learned about the importance of digital citizenship and using media wisely.

White Ribbon Week

Submitted by doug.lai on

Thank You PTA, Payson High Students, parents, and especially Amy Young for a wonderful week learning about how to be safe on the Internet and the media we observe. Remember to THINK. T - Is it true? H - How does it get my attention? I - I can choose. Is it a good choice for me? N - What are they not telling me? K - Do I know who made the message and why?
