On Friday, September16th, students of Spring Lake Elementary gathered outside around the flag pole for a special program to recognize Constitution Day. We had a flag ceremony performed by scouts in our sixth grade. As a school, we repeated The Pledge of Allegiance and sang two Patriotic Songs. As a school, we also recited The Preamble to the Constitution. Students who memorized The Preamble were able to pass it off to our student council and earn a treat at lunch recess. Classes also did other activities to emphasizing the importance of the U.S. Constitution and the contributions of the founding fathers.
