Who wants to be an opera star?  The students at Spring Lake were introduced to the art form of opera in a fun filled display of talent from Utah Opera.  Utah Opera taught the students about voice types, arias, duets, trios, and quartets using the framework of a television game show.  The students experienced the elements of opera as Utah Opera Artists performed selections of well-known operas.  Spring Lake students were enthusiastic in using their newly learned vocabulary word (BRAVO!)  to express a job well done to the Utah Opera Artists.

The Spring Lake Choir performed on November 23rd at the Peteetneet Christmas Lighting. Only about a thrid of students were available but they did a great job. After the performance the audience joined in singing Christmas Carols, and then enjoyed donuts and hot chocolate and the Christmas lights.
