While at recess the gingerbread man ran away! The kindergartnersspent the next four days chasing him around the school. They learned all about theirsurroundings and had lots of fun at the same time. On Friday August 24th Third-grade students had a watermelon party. During the week they wrote about what they did over the summer. Students got to reminisce about their vacations and enjoy the afternoon sun for a moment even though summer was over.

On August 20th, 2012 Students and parents came back to school, a day early. Teachers hosted three 20 minute rotations for welcoming students and talking with parents about what would be taught this year. Principal Spencer Sainsbury was excited to see new and old faces coming through the doors. “Participation at our back to school night was about 95%.” Now two weeks into school our kindergarteners have joined us, and all we have left are the preschool students to be complete.  Preschool will begin next week.
