Why did you decide to become a teacher?: I've always loved school!  I especially loved my first grade teacher. I remember hugging her and telling her I wanted to be a teacher just like her when I grew up.  I never changed my mind about that. I've been teaching almost my entire life. I taught piano when I was just 14 years old and taught for over 30 years.  By the time I was 16 years old, I was teaching for Ogden School district during the summer. I taught 6-7 year olds in my own classroom. I had supervision but that teacher was in another classroom.  I just love kids and I love to teach them!

How long you been teaching?: 11 years

College: WSU, UVU, SUU

Hometown: Ogden

Something not many people know about you: I was the Valedictorian at my high school.

I love teaching...: little people.  I'm more excited about the kids than I am the subjects.  I pretty much love all the subjects I get to teach.

During the summer I like to...: Camp, ride UTV, hang out with family

Favorite book or movie: Happily Ever After

Teacher Quote: "Let's be positive, grateful, and helpful to others when we can.  Negativity and self focus only makes us less satisfied and needy. Helping others lifts us like nothing else.  It helps us feel content and hopeful that we can do what is needed and right."-Spencer Sainsbury
