During the month of December, our first-grade students at Spring Lake have been learning all
about Christmas and other winter holidays around the world! They are learning
about how kids in France, Mexico, and Italy celebrate Christmas and the fun
traditions that they have, which may be different from those in America. First-grade is also learning about Hanukkah and Kwanzaa and how kids in America
celebrate those holidays. All of the kids are working hard on art projects such as
poinsettias, gingerbread men, pictures of La Befana from Italy, Menorahs and
Kinaras to help them remember the interesting things that they learn about other
cultures.
