In my class in 4th grade we are learning about the rock cycle. In class we made a sedimentary sandwich.  We got one piece of white bread and one piece of wheat bread.  We had raisins, cream cheese(it was supposed to be peanut butter), crushed graham crackers, grape jelly, and strawberry jelly.  The raisins were representing rocks, the cream cheese was mud, the jelly was decaying plants and animals, the white bread was sand, the wheat bread was mud and the graham crackers were dust.  We were divided into groups of 3 or 4.  In my group we got the wheat bread and put cream cheese in the middle of it with the jelly on the outside.  Then, we put the white bread on top and put the raisins in the little holes in the white bread. We put a little more jelly on top and then graham crackers on top and in the middle.  We got our hands all sticky but it was worth it.  We got to learn about sedimentary rocks.
