School Rules

 The most important school-wide rule is to be courteous and considerate of others.

 Playground Rules

1. Follow directions the first time they are given.
2. In good weather, students should be outside, not loitering in the halls or restrooms.
3. Students will use common sense and good judgment while playing on the playground.
4. Play in areas away from classrooms where students are still in class.
5. Treat the playground supervisors respectfully.
6. Never throw snowballs, ice, rocks, sticks or similar object.
7. Do not throw or kick balls toward the building. Only kick balls on the lawn area.
8. Avoid wet or muddy areas.
9. Use playground equipment the way that it was intended to be used.
10. Do not climb on the fences, awnings, basketball standards, trees, etc.
11. Avoid games that could be dangerous.
12. Return to class promptly when the bell rings.
13. No fighting.
14. No riding of skateboards, roller blades, or bicycles on school property.
15. Use appropriate language, including no swearing.
16. Stay away from lawn sprinklers or any other janitorial equipment.
17. Students may not take P.E. equipment outside before school begins.
18. Those students who come to school early will go to the gym. Unless going to breakfast.

 Guidelines For Recess When Inside

1. Follow directions the first time they are given.
2. Walk-don’t run in the halls and in the classroom.
3. No loitering in the halls or in the bathrooms. The option of being inside will only be available during the winter months and during rainy weather in the fall and spring. A student may stay inside if they have a note from home or medical reason.
4. When in the classroom, sit down, be quiet, with the door open, and the lights on.
5. No bouncing of balls or tossing of balls or any other objects while in the classroom or in the halls.

When Using The Drinking Fountain

1. Quietly wait you turn. No butting or letting other in line.
2. No pushing or shoving. Keep your hands to yourself.
3. Line up against the wall rather than blocking the hallway.
4. Drink for a reasonable amount to time.
5. Keep water where it belongs.

Rules For The Lunchroom

1. Students will follow directions the first time they are given.
2. Students will wait quietly in the hall while waiting to go into the lunchroom. Teachers will supervise them until they are in the lunchroom.
3. Students will use quiet voices in the lunchroom.
4. No food, candy, straws, etc. are allowed to leave the lunchroom.
5. Keep food on trays. When finished with lunch, dispose of trays, straws, milk, silverware, and any other items appropriately.
6. Soda pop can only be consumed with a home prepared lunch.

Rules For Restroom

1. Students will use supplies and equipment correctly.
   
   1. There should be no vandalism of school property. Students will not climb on or under the stalls.
2. Students will respect the rights of others.
   
   1. Students will use quiet voices so they do not disturb neighboring classes.
   2. Students should respect the privacy of other in the bathroom. Students should practice good hygiene and wash hands appropriately.
3. Students need permission to use the bathroom during class time. Students should use their grade level restrooms.
