Mrs. Cheryl Cofie is this year's Crystal Apple Teacher. She is well deserving of this award. Other teachers had this to say about her.
- She is passionate about teaching and says she’ll never leave the classroom.
- She always has the cutest things about what her kids say and praises them for their creativeness.
- She is always there for others and is willing to do anything to help you out.
- She is a great friend and listening ear.
- She is the first one to stand up for and defend others if she thinks they are being treated unfairly.
- She is a great team leader and making sure things get done, and has great ideas for what to do.
- She is willing to do art for art sake even though there are so many things to do.
- She is an advocate for kids! She loves to see that all kids succeed and puts in lots of extra time into seeing that happen. For years she has done an after school math group to help her lower students.
- She is the party girl meaning without her we wouldn’t have our fun social gatherings.
- She is politically active, always fighting for education and has spent time in Washington DC during the summer representing the association.
- She is on the Ethnics and Minority Committee for UEA.
