3rd Grade students have begun Keyboard Chatter. A program designed to teach keyboarding to our younger students.

Our 5th and 6th grade students have also started a district training for keyboarding to prepare them for Junior High as well as the 5th grade writing assessment in February.

Spring Lake Elementary is on its third year of Gold Medal Schools. Students walk a mile each week. It has been a great program that has allowed us to get extra money for P.E. equipment.

On Friday, August 27th, third grade student’s celebrated with a slice of summer. They wrote about their summer activities and then enjoyed slices of watermelon outside on the playground.  We had lots of sticky faces.

Tuesday August 31st Spring Lake Elementary School welcomed a new group of Kindergarten students. Over 100 students had their first day of school. Mr. Sainsbury said, “We are excited to have them, now our school is complete.”
