Kindergarten Halloween Thriller

Submitted by celeste.penick on

The kindergarten had a fun Halloween dance lesson! Renee Slater came and taught us how to do the Thriller. They loved walking like zombies and monsters. We are grateful to have such talented people like Renee who was willing to donate her time to Spring Lake Elementary!

Pennies For Prevention

Submitted by doug.lai on

As part of Red ribbon week, and saying no to drugs. Spring Lake Students raised money for Pennies For Prevention. Students brought in as many pennies as they could. The winning class receives classroom supplies, or an activity. Money raised will help out a local drug prevention organization Steps Recovery Center to help individuals become drug free.

Spring Lake's 6th graders have enjoyed having Kendra from the AmeriCorps S.T.E.M. Program at the school. (Kendra, wearing a blue shirt, is pictured center.) She taught an informative lesson to each class on how to be an awesome problem solver. Pictured is Mrs. Erica Fordiani's class as they attempted to solve a S.T.E.M. challenge while competing against other teams.
