Spring Lake Elementary students participated in the School Districts’ Christmas Card competition. The winner would have their card be the Districts official Christmas card that would be sent to over four thousand employees.  Two of our students were chosen as winners. Elliot Evan in Mrs. Janae Wilson’s fifth-grade was on the cover and received a $25 prize, and Natalie Rapier was featured on the inside, winning $10. Congratulations to both.

A Christmas Carol

A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens was put on using Bon Ra Ku Puppets, on Friday, December 9th, 2011.

Bon Ra Ku originated in Japan. Puppets and Puppeteers are right on stage and in sight of the audience. The puppets are operated by two or more people, and sticks are used to move the head, arms, and feet. Puppeteers are usually dressed in black and hooded, which aids in blending into the background.
