Some of our second grade teachers look like they need a drink from the fountain of youth. Being 100 years old and teaching can be difficult. Students enjoyed 100 day activities throughout the day!
The Spanish Fork Rotary Club and Zions Bank of Payson has worked together to bring dictionaries to third grade students. As part of receiving the dictionaries we will be hosting a Spelling Bee on the 18th of February at 1:00 PM. Thank you to Zions Bank of Payson and the Spanish Fork Rotary Club.
Steve James came to share some of his songs with Spring Lake students and started off by telling them about his “Girl Friend from the 80’s”. The students were really involved and he had their attention. Mr. James took time to tell the history behind some the songs he shared, and took some request from teachers for favorite songs. Thanks to Mr. James for helping us kick our Bullying Awareness.

Students gathered together in the atrium at Spring Lake to listen to the safety tips offered by Mr. Liechty, a volunteer fire fighter for the city of Payson. Mr. Liechty is also the father of Brayden and Jordyn Liechty who attend Spring Lake Elementary. They learned how to be safe in the event of a fire and the importance of having a “Family Fire Plan”. Students were also able to see one of the fire trucks up close.
