During the first week of school third-grade students have been writing stories about a "slice" of their summer. To celebrate we enjoyed a slice of watermelon during recess.
Students in Mrs. Poulsen's fifth-grade class started off the year with some engineering challenges! One such activity included the task of building a tower out of index cards. The catch? The tower had to support the weight of the second package of cards! The students did a great job with it, and had lots of fun!
Mrs. Jarvis' class used Cheerios to make arrays during math. They are learning different strategies to solve multiplication problems. Their favorite part was getting to eat the Cheerios when they were done!
Students in Mr. Lai's fifth-grade class participated in a BreakoutEdu exercise. They had to work together to open five different locks to open the box. They were able to do it in just over 20 minutes. Great Job!
