Second-grade classes have been learning all about measurement. Students had the opportunity to measure themselves using a ruler to see how many feet or inches different areas of their bodies are. The students had a blast seeing how different they are from one another.

Can you stack 10 cups without touching them? Mrs. Taylor's class wroked with their 5th grade buddies to do that. They had string, rubber bands, and straws. They had some awesome ideas and methods. Once they got it, they had some of their tools taken away, and had to try again.

Why did you decide to become a teacher?: I've always loved school!  I especially loved my first grade teacher. I remember hugging her and telling her I wanted to be a teacher just like her when I grew up.  I never changed my mind about that. I've been teaching almost my entire life.

Mrs. Fordiani’s sixth grade students enjoyed constructing medieval castles. Requirements included: a moat, drawbridge, gatehouse, keep, curtain walls, battlements, and arrow loops. The castles were awesome!

Mrs. Fordiani’s students were fascinated as they dissected owl pellets which helped them further understand food webs. They found mouse, rat, and bird bones and skulls!

Mr. Lai shared some Chinese New Year traditions with his class. Students learned some Chinese and learned what year they were born in according to the Chinese calendar. They got a red envelope on the way out. His class also created their own pigs in Tinkercad. Then using a Merge cube they were able to see their pigs in Augmented Reality.
