Horizons Light Up Spring Lake Elementary

Students at Spring Lake Elementary learned how to paint a horizon using water colors.  Students looked at samples and then were taught painting techniques.  They learned how to do  wet on wet, and dry brushing as well as lifting paint and texturing.

Students were asked to use none of the colors straight out of the paint pallet.  They were asked to use mixed colors.  Students were excited to see all the different combinations of colors they could make by mixing. blending, and diluting the colors.  Then, they matted their pictures and signed them as real artists.
