Why did you decide to become a teacher?: When I was a little girl I always wanted to be a nurse or a teacher. I have been fortunate enough to work in the field of medicine as well as be a teacher. I decided to go back to school and become a teacher because I was always at my kids' school volunteering. I also wanted to have a similar schedule with my children so I could be with them as much as possible. It has been a great choice for me! Little people are so fun to hang out with!
How long you been teaching?: I have been teaching for 17 years!
College: California Baptist University, Chapman University, Southern Utah University
Hometown: Nashua, New Hampshire
Something not many people know about you: My daughter and I were clowns together. She was in fourth grade when she brought home a book about making balloon animals. We sat down together and figured out how to do it. Soon after, we started booking birthday parties. It is a fun experience we shared and we both still make balloon animals from time to time for special events.
I love teaching...: I love teaching little people. Everything is so fresh and new to them. I love that no day goes by without a funny story or event that has happened in my classroom. Little people always cheer my heart!
During the summer I like to...: During the summer I like to hike the wonderful trails and fly fish the gorgeous rivers of Utah with my best fishing buddy.
If calories didn't count I would eat/drink...: Key lime tarts from Kneaders every day and get a year supply of Key Lime Pie drinks from Sip N Stop.
Favorite book or movie: So Many! My favorite books to read to kids are; The BFG! Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes, Frindle, By the Great Horn Spoon. I'll stop there for now!
