On Thursday September 22nd, 2011 the PTA hosted a special assembly by grade levels to explain the new reflections competition this year. Alli Buchanan a 6th grader interviewed students and staff to find out what “Diversity Means”. She found that it can be about likes, languages, entertainment and even age. There is diversity in almost anything around us. Then in the gym there were eight stations to learn about the different mediums you can use for showing what you think diversity is. Students can do film, dance, 3D art, photography, literature, theater, or visual arts.
