Spring Lake Hoedown

On Monday, March 11th. Spring Lake students enjoyed a square dancing assembly. Right from the get go students were dancing and learning how to square dance. Students also learned about square dance traditions and the type of clothing that is worn while square dancing.  Students learned how and why square dancing came to be part of Utah’s history.  The younger grades learned simple steps while the older grades did the full dancing.  Students commented how fun it was.  They want to do it again next year. Thanks Utah State Office of Education for providing fun assemblies like these.
