Third-grade students welcomed in the year of the Dragon as they celebrated Chinese New Year. Students read in class about how a girl named April and her family live in America. They made lanterns and learned some Chinese characters. Friday they enjoyed eating with chopsticks, opening a fortune cookie, learning about what year they were born in and went home with a red envelope.
