Spring Lake Elementary School has an amazing after school choir! Being in choir is an awesome experience…we don't just learn cool songs-we also have fun as we work hard to accomplish something incredible as a group.
The choir is for all students from kindergarten to 5th grade. We meet in the gym on Thursdays right after school from 3:30-4:30 starting January 9th. Performances are in May during the school day for the student body and an evening concert for family and friends at Payson High School in the auditorium on May 7th at 7:00 PM.
To help the choir be INCREDIBLE, we need the choir members to attend all rehearsals and be respectful to each other, the accompanist, and the director. Showing respect includes listening and following instructions, not talking out of turn, and paying attention. We will have fun, but it is important for us to be respectful. Please contact me if you have questions about how I run our choir.
I strongly recommend sending your child with a snack to eat after school. I have helpers at rehearsals and performances who will help children get to and from the bathroom/drinking fountain.
There is no fee to be in the choir except for the cost of a choir shirt. The cost of the shirt is $6, which should be paid in the front office. The choir shirt does not change from year to year. There are some shirts that were donated from previous choir students, and you can choose that for the shirt option below. For choir performances we wear a choir shirt and plain dark blue, gray, or black pants.
