Veteran's Day Program

Submitted by doug.lai on

On November 11th, 2014, Mrs. Denise Ray’s fourth-grade taught the school about the importance of Veteran’s Day. They explained that Veterans are anyone who has served our country in the Armed Forces. It was a great assembly because we were able to honor many Veterans from our community who have served or are still serving our country. The students also made two banners honoring two of our bus drivers who were also Veterans.

Kindergarten Halloween Thriller

The kindergarten had a fun Halloween dance lesson! Renee Slater came and taught us how to do the Thriller. They loved walking like zombies and monsters. We are grateful to have such talented people like Renee who was willing to donate her time to Spring Lake Elementary!

Pennies For Prevention

Submitted by doug.lai on

As part of Red ribbon week, and saying no to drugs. Spring Lake Students raised money for Pennies For Prevention. Students brought in as many pennies as they could. The winning class receives classroom supplies, or an activity. Money raised will help out a local drug prevention organization Steps Recovery Center to help individuals become drug free.
