Growing Cabbage

Submitted by doug.lai on

Over the summer Spring Lake Third-grade students took part in growing cabbages at home with the hopes of winning a scholarship from Bonnie Plants. They were each provided with one plant. It was amazing to see the pictures coming in from those that took care of them all summer. Someone is going to be eating a lot of coleslaw.

Spring Lake welcomed 135 Kindergartners to school this week. The first day was fullof excitement especially when it came time to decorate the giant gingerbread cookie. After adding the finishing touches of frosting, jelly beans and gummy bears the kidswent out for recess. While at recess the gingerbread man ran away! The kindergartnersspent the next four days chasing him around the school. They learned all about theirsurroundings and had lots of fun at the same time. We are off to a great start at SpringLake Elementary!
