Nearly sixty of the fifth-grade students at Spring Lake ended the second term with Zero Missing Assignments. To celebrate, they had the privilege of participating in a Zero Missing Assignments Activity on Thursday, January 21st. Leslie Keisel took the lead in organizing an entertaining selection of "Minute to Win It" type games which the students were able to compete in. The fifth-graders attempted feats of stacking cups, propelling objects with straws, juggling balloons and scooping cotton balls into a bowl on their head while blindfolded. The two favorite activities appeared to be attempting to knock down water bottles with a baseball in a nylon sock - suspended from their head, and trying to coax ping pong balls out of a tissue box hooked to their backside. Both of those games brought out some wild dance moves. The students had nearly as much fun watching one another perform the tasks as they did participating.Mrs. Keisel was assisted by Kimberlee Anderson, Itzel Day, Michelle Kershaw, Caisha Rhoden, Shyann Robinson, Angela Smith and Wendy and David Smith. We're grateful to these people for their providing such an enjoyable event.
