December 9th, was the day of the big game. Teachers teamed up to
tackle the top 20  readers in the fourth grade.  Students from Mr.
Atkin, Miss Stephens, Mrs. Ray and Miss Evans class played a
basketball game against their teachers as a reward for working on
their reading all during the month of November. The total reading
minutes, for fourth grade, for the month of November, was around
80,000 minutes. Even though the students lost the game the gym was
roaring with shouts and screams of excitement.  Students could be
heard from the other end of the school as they cheered on their peers.
The final score of the game was 34 - 30.  All kids had a great time
and for those special 20 kids who played they discovered reading
really pays. It was a great way to motivate kids to read.
