Spring Lake Elementary Sixth-Graders at the Leonardo Museum

Submitted by doug.lai on

On April 3, 2014, the sixth grade classes from Spring Lake Elementary had the privilege of attending a field trip at the Leonardo Museum in Salt Lake City.  The students were given the opportunity to participate in a hands-on algae workshop using the scientific process, they were able to discover and create in small groups.

In addition to the workshops, students were able to spend some time in the hands-on labs where they were encouraged to create and work on their own.  Some of these work stations included:  computer art programs, 3D movie animations, green screen simulations, Lego building, and several art projects.

This was an excellent field trip and was expressed as a favorite of many of the students.  A special thanks goes out to the Leonardo Museum for giving us the grant that made it possible for our students to attend this awesome field trip.
