Dear Spring Lake Parents and PTA Members
We are excited for the upcoming Teacher Appreciation/Kindness Week that is scheduled for Tuesday, February 21 – Friday, February 24. This week is a fun way as parents and PTA members that we can let the teachers and staff of Spring Lake Elementary know how much we appreciate all that they do to go above and beyond to teach, inspire, protect, and love our kids.
As part of Teacher Appreciation Week, the PTA is trying something new by combining the two events. We are also trying to put together 10 themed baskets that the teachers can win. The teachers will get to put raffle tickets towards the baskets they would like to win. The students are the ones who can earn the raffle tickets for their teachers by doing acts of kindness throughout the week. Each raffle ticket represents an act of kindness that a student instigated or an act of kindness that was received. The ten theme baskets are listed below. We’re looking for 10 volunteers that would be willing to be Basket Organizers and be in charge of putting the baskets together once we have collected all the items and money donations. We have a Sign-up Genius being created with all the basket themes and ideas of items that people could donate toward the baskets. If you would like to be a Basket Organizer you can sign up using Sign-Up Genius.
If we can get $1 or $2 dollars donated per child for this we will have anywhere between $650 and $1,300 to use to create some amazing baskets. Parents, PTA Members and Basket Organizers are more than welcome to seek for donations and services from stores around the area. If vendors are willing to donate items or services and need paperwork filled out please let us know and we will get you the information you need.
