Third grade went on a field trip to the Museum of Natural Curiosity. Students had fun participating in a class on force and motion which is part of the 3rd-grade science core. They got to experiment using plastic spoons as catapults and shooting pom poms at targets.

On Wednesday, October 16 th, Spring Lake student council members attended a leadership conference at BYU. Students listened to motivational speakers and attended breakout sessions on leadership. We are excited for them to use these new skills with the students at Spring Lake.

Students had fun learning to be copy machines and enlarging pictures. The fifth-grade teachers tried first with chalk. Students did it on paper enlarging a portrait of Washington. Next week they will do it with chalk taking a section each. It should be really fun. Look for pictures to come.
