Space The Final Frontier

Submitted by doug.lai on

Students created their own planet and universe.

Beginning with black construction paper students learned to splatter paint, which created their background for their solar system.  Finger paint was used for the base for planets and land masses.

Next, students added their planets and land masses. The ORB city was added last.  Students then had a lesson in shading, which helped their planets go from a flat appearance to a 3-D effect.

Great job to all!

On Thursday October 27th, 2011. Utah Valley University theater students came to Spring Lake Elementary School to present The Princess and the Goblin. There were four students that played over 10 different characters in this play. It was a funny and exciting tale, where the characters learned that sometime you have to believe in things that cannot be seen. It was great to see the interaction between the humans and goblins and how they dealt with their differences.
