Students enjoyed our first day of Christmas singing, thanks to Mrs. Taylor and Mrs. Caldwell. Second-grade even have a special surprise for when we sang Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
Spring Lake has been participating along with millions of students around the world in Hour of Code. They have been introduced to the world of coding. Some may choose professions where they will code, others may make their own video games. Hopefully, everyone found it fun, maybe even a little addicting.
On December 3rd Mr. Daybell called down students of the month. They got to enjoy pizza, and went home with a certificate and movie coupon. Congrats to the following:
Friday, December the 4th the Spring Lake Choir did a concert for their fellow students. They have been practicing hard since school started, and now they really shined. There were definitely a lot of laughs during the Donkey song when a donkey started dancing along. Thanks to Diana Hunt who works with them every week. They will have a parent concert at the High School Next Thursday at 6 pm. Choir will start again the first Thursday after the Christmas break, so it is not too late to join.
Students got to share with parents what they have been working on in the after school robotics class. The next session will begin in January. Awesome to see so many young coders.
