May 2018
Field Day 3-6 Grade
Upper grades had a fun time at the Payson Pool.
Kickball
Time again for the annual kickball game against sixth-grade. Unfortantly it was not in the cards for sixth-grade.
5th Grade Kickball
Fifth-grade classes played some friendly kickball and enjoyed hot dogs after. Testing is over!
The Butterfly Effect
The "Butterfly Effect" is a scientific theory which asserts that very small events can cause a chain reaction which can lead to hugely significant events. Students in Mr. Ewell's 5th grade class performed "The Butterfly Effect", a short play written by Lisa Bean, to classes on May 18th. The students had worked hard to prepare and perform and were able to share the message of the play in a well developed and thought provoking production.
The Gods Must Be Crazy
Mrs. Fordiani’s sixth grade class did an amazing job performing The Gods Must Be Crazy: The Story of Cupid and Psyche. There were two casts that performed a total of seven plays during the day as well as two in the evening for parents. It was a very memorable experience.
Choir Concert
What a wonderful closing choir concert. We love Ms. Diana. The kids have learned so much this year. Choir will begin again the First Thurday after school starts in August.
Honor Roll
Presenting the 2018 recipients of the sixth grade honor roll award. The students completed 10 out of 15 requirements including examples such as participating in reflections, student council, completing sixth grade ALEKS, service projects, completing essays, and knowing all the countries of the world. They are amazing!
Kindergarten Cleaning
Some good clean fun, on the second to last day of Kindergarten.
Law-enforcement Appreciation
Mrs. Miller’s 6th grade class made local law-enforcement appreciation bags. We are grateful to have them!
