Fifth Grade Discovers Matter Thanks To Discovery Gateway

Submitted by doug.lai on

Fifth grade students were involved all day February 9th with “Reaction Time”. Each class spent 30 minutes in a hands on learning lab after a grade level assembly. “The Reaction Time program covers Standard I of the fifth-grade science core—matter, physical changes, and chemical reactions. During the lab, students design and perform chemistry experiments under the direction of a Discovery Gateway science outreach instructor. Discovery Gateway also provides teachers with preparatory packets, follow-up materials, and science equipment to continue scientific learning in the classroom.”
