Third-grade Green Thumbs

Submitted by doug.lai on

Over the summer students participated in the Bonnie Plant 3rd grade cabbage program. They give a $1,000 scholarship to a student in each state with the best cabbage. We had three students that brought back photos. Jaxon Hill, Morgan Sheets, and Nathan Hadlock. They grew some great looking cabbages. Let’s hope one of them wins!

Secret Letter Detective

Submitted by doug.lai on

The kindergarten classes started "Secret Letter Detective" this week. If a student gets chosen to be the letter detective they will have a letter necklace and a bag. They are then responsible to bring something to school the next day that begins with that letter! They need to be prepared with three clues that they will present to the class. The item they bring is kept a secret and hidden in the bag until the clues have been presented!

Kindergarten Students Search For Gingerbread Man

Submitted by doug.lai on

The gingerbread man ran away from the kindergarten kids on the first day of school! The kids looked all over the School for him while learning how to line up, walk nicely and obey the school rules. They met many important Spring Lake teachers and office staff while they conducted their search. On Friday, Mr. Probst caught that wiley gingerbread man and returned him safe and sound! He wasn't safe for long though, because they ate him before he could run away again!

Third-grade Field Trip

Submitted by doug.lai on

Third-grade students had fun bowling at South County Lanes as part of their field trip. It was neat to see the kids all have fun, and see what kind of skills they had. There were even several who broke 100. Watch out they may go professional!
