The class winners that competed were Michael Kitchen, Caitlyn Maloy, Jake Wilson, Aubrey Grant, Boyd Martin, Brandon Judd, Madison Bassir, David Bartholomew, Jaxon Hill, Kylee Keisel, Nathan Slater, and Kaden Liddiard.

Madison Bassir took first place, Brandon Judd took second, and David Bartholomew was third over all. Well done!

Spring Lake Elementary Choir

Submitted by celeste.penick on

The Spring Lake Elementary Choir put on a fantastic spring performance. Choir director, Mrs. Diana Hunt, has worked hard all year to organize the choir and instill a love of music in the students of Spring Lake. The choir has been a huge success in its first year.  A big thanks to Diana as well as John on the piano for sharing your talents with us.  We look forward to what the choir has to offer next year and hope to see more students join in on the fun.

March Madness

Submitted by celeste.penick on

The students at Spring Lake Elementary read, read, read, during the month of March for the chance to participate in our annual March Madness basketball shoot. Several dedicated readers were given the opportunity to make as many baskets as they could in thirty seconds.  Each basket made was worth dollars from Mr. Sainsbury.  There were also many books and other prizes awarded to students for their reading efforts.  It pays to read!

Birds Filling The Walls With Color

Submitted by doug.lai on

These colorful birds began with a simple drawing, then magazine pages were cut into triangles and layered to complete their birds.

The students realized how quickly the bird came alive after layering it. Their drawings went from a 2D image to a 3D finished project. Each bird is different and unique, just like in nature.

 Nice job to all!
