On Thursday, January 21st Mr. Daybell called down two sets of students that were on the Hawk's Hero board as they got a double Bingo. Students played Bingo for prizes. Keep up the good work.

Cole Parkinson from Netsmartz came and visited with Spring Lake students on Friday, January 22nd. He talked about how students can stay safe of the internet. The internet is great for finding information and networking with people but there are some online that cause problems for others. People that ask for personal information or cyberbully are a few examples. There are some great resources online to go over with students. http://utahnetsmartz.org/
Congratulations to Caden Richins, Justin Caldwell, and Cassidy Richins who correctly guessed Mr. Ewell's bike in the 3/4 grade atrium.
Chess club has started once again. There is still room if you want to join. Tuesdays after school in the library.
In fourth-grade, we are doing a lesson on equivalent fractions. We have decided to tie it to quilt making, specifically, patchwork quilts like the Utah pioneers made. The patterns were produced using many equivalent fractions.
With the last Box Top competition students turned in over $270 worth. The top 6 classes earned some extra recess. The top six classes were Mrs. Jarvis, Mrs. Cofie, Mrs. Calwell, Mr. Lai, Mr. Ewell, and Mrs. Ware. Pictured is Mr. Lai’s and Mr. Ewell’s class doing some Zumba.
Kindergarten students had so much fun making snowmen, they decided to bring them inside. Good thing these ones don't melt.
